One of my best discoveries of 2009 and probably one of my favorite albums of 2009. The album is adequately titled Rigning which means rain in Icelandic. The tracks which are simply titled Rigning 1, Rigning 2 and so on and are all decorated with the shimmering sounds of raindrops. The way all the pulsating synths and bass lines are blended in with field recordings of rain is just perfect. Much like water, there is something very relaxing about this album. Check this out if you like Gas or The Field.
